English Oak Credence

A simple English Oak credence (or "dole") cupboard comprising finely shaped fielded panels, commonly found in North Wales, circa 1770. Doors secured by oak knobs with turn buttons and hung with traditional brass "H" hinges. Cupboard raised upon simple baluster turned legs and a front stretcher rail.

English Oak Elizabethan Style Credence

A simple English Oak credence (or "dole") cupboard from the Elizabethan period. Having two doors with guilloche carving and a central panel with a carved arcade and fluted pilasters. The central rail has delicate shaping and the legs are of fluted baluster form. It has a useful boarded under shelf.
